The Intra-College Quiz Competition on the theme of the Indian Constitution was held successfully on 13th March 2025 at the Smart Classroom of GDC Handwara. The event was organized by the NSS Units of the college and aimed to enhance awareness and knowledge about constitutional principles among students.

In alignment with the communication received from the Director of Colleges, Department of Higher Education (Letter No: DC-HE/K/2025/198, dated 09-02-2025), the Department of Computer Applications, in collaboration with the Digital Initiatives Committee of GDC Handwara, organized an awareness workshop on Safer Internet Day on 11-02-2025.

The Department of Computer Applications, in collaboration with the Digital Initiatives Committee of the college, successfully organized a one-week Computer Literacy Workshop aimed at enhancing the digital skills of the non-teaching staff. The workshop was conducted from November 21, 2023, to November 27, 2024, with the primary objective of empowering participants with essential computer knowledge and operational proficiency.

In view of its outreach programme schedule the NSS Unit of Govt. Degree College Handwara organized a physical visit of the students of Middle School Moonbal on 11/12/2024. This event provided an enriching opportunity for the students to explore the various departments of the college and interact with faculty members. The program aimed to foster interest in academic fields and promote a sense of social responsibility among young learners.

The Intemational Soil Day 2A24 tras celebrated q,ith great enthusiasm and awareness at Goverrrment Degree College (GDCI Handwara on 5th December 2A24. The event aimed to raise awareness about the importance of soil conservation and sustainable fanning practices. The celebration was organized by the Departments of Geography, Geology, Botany, and Environmental Science (EVS) of GDC Handwara in collaboration with the District Agriculture Officer Kupuwara.
