Internal Quality Assurance Cell

Internal Quality Assurance Cell GDC Handwara

    Overview

NAAC launched the Internal Quality Assurance Cell as an institutional endeavor to improve higher education's performance, assessment, accreditation, and quality improvement. The main responsibility of IQAC is to direct an institution's activities and actions toward academic success. Procedures for ensuring the quality of education are developed based on IQAC. As the institution's nodal agency, IQAC must start quality-related initiatives to achieve both academic excellence and NAAC accreditation.

    Functions of IQAC:

      • IQAC has the ability to serve as a driving force behind the establishment of a quality culture within the college by coming up with creative ways to eliminate flaws and improve the standard of the institution's overall operations.
      • The establishment and implementation of quality standards and guidelines for the college's different administrative and academic operations.
      • Established a web-based portal where departments and teachers can post their research and academic activities. The information is then used in other college-related activities.
      • College faculty are evaluated for appointments and promotions under UGC CAS.
      • Assisting in the development of a learner-centered atmosphere that supports high-quality instruction and the development of faculty members to embrace the necessary skills and tools for a participative teaching and learning process.
      • Management of feedback responses from students, parents and other stakeholders on quality-related institutional processes.
      • Presenting the college for NAAC accreditation and assessment.
      • Publication of the college Annual Report in the form of College Newsletter.
      • Conducting inter and intra institutional workshops, conferences, seminars on quality related themes and promotion of quality circles.
